Grape Festival this year was kind of like our "kick off" to vacation - because Josh's week of vacation started on Labor Day. Friday night was our usual - taking the kiddos to the carnival night. They counted down the days til it was time. : )
Milo had been talking about this slide for weeks. Josh kept telling him he could go down it til he burned his biscuits off - as many times as he wanted. And that stuck with him! He repeated it and talked about it constantly. Haha. So cute! Needless to say - the smile on his face when he finally got to burn those biscuits off was pretty priceless!
Riding biggy boy rides!
My perv husband had to point out that the front of this ride was perverted. I can't say that he is wrong...at all. I would NOT have noticed it on my own....but now that he pointed it out I DO see what he is saying. Haha.
These swings freak me out in a serious way...
Found some cousins AND some friends!
They had so much fun! It is so fun seeing them with their friends too. They're growing up!
We bumped in to both my parents and Ruth throughout the evening. Chase ran up to both Grandma's and gave them hugs when he saw them. I love that he still isn't "too cool" to do that in public! <3
Eventually the boys got hungry and wanted to go get some food. Corn dogs all around!
So, tonight was a fun kick off to vacation for sure! The boys had fun. There were even NO meltdowns to stop riding the rides or about it being time to come home. (awesome!!) They got to see some cousins and some friends too. Yay! Fun night for us all I think.
Our new creation for lunch and we love it. Ranch chicken breast, bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado on a brioche bun with mayo. YUM-O! And you can't beat a summer tomato with cottage cheese either!
Pet parade with the cousins : )
Gage and Taylor were the pet parade King and Queen. We had been asked about Chase doing it...and I said no because I thought you were REQUIRED to go in all the local parades..and there was just no way I could do all of that with a 1 year old and a husband that is rarely home on the weekends. Well, I guess these guys just said that they would only be doing the Nauvoo parades. Well, heck! If I would have known that was an option - then we would have probably done it! But, oh well! I DO have Milo and Sylas that could potentially do it at some point, I suppose.
Saturday night chill night at home. Got me a fancy hair do by Mr. Milo. : )
Precious peanuts all playing together. The kind of moments that warm my heart!
Up and at on Sunday for CAR SHOW time!
Got our traditional shaved ice too!
This was the coolest freaking thing! I didn't know it existed...like at all. This is Amanda's Grandpa Starr's old truck. He had so many personal touches on it...it was very cool!
AND very cool that Sandy got it cleaned up and running again to show it off!
Parade time!
Our gang! : ) Mom invited the Boyer's over again this year since Jeff and Desiree were in town.
Milo found his own way to cool off. Haha!
Vivi took a sweet little nap on me. <3 Love!
Desiree and her sister in law came over to our house for a bit and shopped LuLaRoe. It was so fun and a nice financial surprise too! We had a good long visit in the garage afterwards too. Relaxing afternoon!
Milo's house...if you look close you can see bunk beds. : )
Chases house...he has a rocking chair and all kinds of awesome details!
No better way to end the weekend then this right here. We are so blessed!

Sylas in August
Baby snugs = the BEST!
This little series of pictures captures the preciousness of this perfectly! I love the look in his eye when he's looking at his Daddy...AND the look in his eye when he's being onery and smacking his Daddy's bald head. Haha! : ) Swollen heart right here! <3
Haha he wasn't loving this at all! ; )
Uh oh...Grandma gave someone an ice cream cone!
that little finger....aww!
Haha! I'd say he's a fan! : )
Bedtime snugs and gigs with my baby doll! <3 Big brothers stayed the night at Grandma's so it was extra special tonight!
We have a climber! Oh no!
Oh, isn't that just pitiful?!
We had to ask Papa if he likes his shirt. : )
8/14
I'm gonna miss this...
The way his little head feels in my hand while he's nursing.
The way he holds my hand and then pulls it to my mouth for me to kiss it.
The way his little body curls up against me as he relaxes and eats.
I'm going to miss it all...
This is SO hard for me to give up. To never experience with him again. To admit that he is growing up. Yep, I'm gonna miss this....I already do. 💔
Sylas sits the most still in the mornings while he is drinking his cup. So, if his brothers want to hold him - that is usually when the best chance is. This morning both big brothers got to hold him. : ) They love their baby!
Onery! Soooo sooooo SOOOOO onery!!
There's not a lot that feels better than this right here. <3
Haha someone has discovered the blanket basket and loves to climb inside of it.
Yeee-haw!
Hanging with Aunt Tay watching big bubbas play outside. : )
Soooo many Sy updates! Here goes!
-Sy calls his cup a "bup"
-He calls Milo "Mi Mi" and Chase "Bubba" and gets excited when they wake up in the mornings. He loves his brubbers!
-He pretend laughs to be funny. Love that he has a sense of humor!
-Sy is a copy cat! He tries to say everything we do!
-8/16 Sylas is talking so much! He has said "Hi Momma" a lot today! He listens and absorbs and is seriously just the best! He started blowing air watching me blow on his food tonight....amazing! He knows to switch things he's holding onto from hand to hand when he's putting a shirt on now too. All just examples of how smart he is!
-8/18 Sy Sy says "Nana" for banana!
-8/19 Sylas blows kisses to Grandma! <3 So sweet!
-Sy walks around and makes the "o" sound as if he is asking a question. It's so cute!
-Sylas says Daddy in his own way. ..but he says it the same way every time so we know that's what he is saying.
-Sy said "all done"
He has grown so much and so fast this month it seems!
This is rare...baby boy rocking to sleep. Even more rare that Daddy got the chance to experience it. Josh loves this baby boy as much as I do. We are so blessed!
