Aren't those the sweetest lips?! Muah!
The boys had well visits a few weeks ago. Milo for his 1 year and Chase for 3 years. Josh happened to be home so he got to come with. Yay! Makes Momma's job much easier!
Milo was straight up baby talking to the dog statue. It was hilarious!
Chase was so nervous but was trying not to show it. That little face he was making breaks my heart. I went and sat by him and held his other hand so he would feel better. He did awesome though. He was VERY cooperative and a big boy. Much better than last year! He even peed in a cup without hesitation. I was shocked! Chase weighed 29 pounds and was 37 and 3/4 inches tall. Dr says he is doing everything he should at his age. : )
Milo had a little more of a rough day. They had to draw blood to do blood work on him and he also had shots. Poor guy! I felt bad. But he got good reports on his growth and development. Milo weighed 23 pounds 9 ounces and was 31 and 1/2 inches tall. We went home and did lots of snuggling the rest of the day.
Love my growing babes!

New Things
We got a child sized table and chairs. They like it. Milo likes to climb on it...Chase likes to actually use it. He's been coloring and eating at it quite a bit.
I was measuring something and Milo wanted what I had - so I gave him some cereal in a measuring cup. Then of course Chase had to have some too. Cuties : )
Chase was digging in my purse and found my headphones. A few minutes later he showed me that he put them under his shirt and started running. That is how I put them when I go for runs. Made me smile! He's so observant! Felt good that he has watched my example...I should probably start doing that more again.
Also - these are new jammies Chase is wearing. I absolutely love them! I got giddy when I found them at the store and even more giddy after he put them on because he looks so dang cute in them! Giraffes have always been my "thing" with Chase.

"Football"
Josh was gone for work for a few days after Chase's birthday party. Chase came carrying his tball set out of his room and said "Chasey like football sing Mom". : ) He was excited to play "football". I told him as soon as Daddy got home from work we could go outside and have Daddy show him how. He didn't forget either! That was the first thing he asked to do when Daddy got home.
Daddy was ready to play too!
It's a really good thing that we waited to have Daddy do it with him because I don't think I would have taught him "properly". Haha. Chase caught right on and did awesome hitting the ball! He got so excited and proud of himself every time. Big boy!
We practiced playing catch too. We decided Daddy needs a glove of his own. (maybe the boys just might get him one for Christmas ; ) )
Someone is getting brave and climbing things. We caught him on the top step all by himself and I about had a heart attack!
Fun back yard play time with our boys! We've been doing a lot of it lately. Chase now knows it is called baseball and asks to go outside and play all the time. We try to as much as possible while it's still warm enough outside during the day.

Amy Comes
I had invited Amy to the boys' birthday parties but she wasn't able to make it to either one - so she came over with a little present for each of them. Chase got a bag full of fun little noise makers and toys and Milo got a HUGE thing of cheeseballs and a choo choo. Milo was orange in a hurry...haha!
Amy forgot her sunglasses at our house so the boys and I walked them down to Carla's for her. Chase had to bring one of the balloons she got him with us. He looked so cute running down the road with it. : )
We stayed and visited just a minute and Carla showed me more of Matt's wedding pictures. They got a few really good ones of Chase running down the aisle. I'm hoping I can get my hands on a copy of them.

Flat
So I backed out of my driveway and started going down my road and thought my car felt funny..something made me think to check my tires - and it was a good thing I did! I got out and immediately saw that my back tire was as flat as a pancake! Josh was out of town, of course..but luckily Tyson was home and he came to save me.
Chase got a good lesson and had to help him. Tyson was good at humoring him. : ) Thank goodness for family! I don't know what I'd do without mine.

Ending My Day With Chase
My day ended pretty awesome yesterday too. Josh was working so it was just the boys and I at home. I love my one on one time with them. I get special Mommy moments with them and I adore them. I had put Milo to bed and was snuggling on the couch with Chase. He said he was cold so I got his blanket for him...to which he said "thank you sweetie pie". : ) : ) : ) Seriously!! I love this boy of mine! He is such a sweetie! I am so in love! My boys started and ended my day with their innocent beauty - thank you God for my blessings!

Starting My Day With Milo
My day started out beautifully today. Normally I get up a little while before the boys and have some coffee and 'me time' before they wake up. Today I slept in and waited til they woke me before I got up. I woke up to Milo saying "MAMA!". He says it in a very specific voice too..so cute! It was a nice surprise to have him not fussing to get out of bed but to be happy and saying Mama to get me in there. : ) So I popped out of bed and went in to get him and as soon as he saw me he was standing at the edge of his crib and got a huge smile on his face and said "Hiiiii". Ahhh - made me smile so big! Then he bent down and grabbed his blanky in one hand and his bunny in the other and put his arms up for me to pick him up. I love absolutely everything and every moment about this little story. First 5 minutes of my day were magical!
All Done
Well...my baby is all done nursing now. I didn't want to let it go completely until I felt like I was ready and I knew that he was going to sleep through the night for me. Sometimes nursing him in the night was the only way to calm him back to sleep. He had 4 or 5 consistent nights of sleeping all night so I finally just decided it was time. I was sad, of course...and had some of the worries I remember having when I stopped nursing Chase too. Mainly I was worried he wouldn't snuggle with me or want Mommy as much because I wasn't his food supply anymore. BUT - like a dream come true - he has actually been more snuggly and Mommy clingy than ever since we've stopped! I'm so glad...I love that he is still my baby and needs him Mama. : ) I didn't even know starting out with Milo if I would nurse for as long as I did with Chase - but I did. I've officially provided nutrition for both of my beautiful boys until past their 1st birthdays. Go me! It is a very empowering feeling...and something I am proud of. I feel blessed to have gotten to stay home with them and have done this for them.

Chase's 3rd Birthday Party
Chase was napping on the couch while Josh and I started decorating for the party. We were most of the way done by the time he woke up. He was excited when he woke up and saw it all!
We had picked up his cake while he slept too. He thought it was awesome! (and it was!)
Chase chose his theme this year...so we did MONSTERS, of course!
We had monster party hats. He did the face on this one himself - just perfect!
All ready to party!
Happy boy! He went through lots and lots of birthday parties in the family waiting for his own...and it was finally here!
When Grandma got here with a big present he got excited and covered his smiling face. : ) So cute!
We started out with supper. I made vegetable beef soup and chicken and rice soup.
Chase got lots of cool presents. He was super excited about all of them.
Grandma got him a tball set and a baseball glove. I had given her the idea...and he loved it! He called it football instead of baseball - which made it even cuter!
Grandma had to draw a monster on his card. : )
Chase gave all his cousins presents too. He likes getting to be generous too. Their bags had monster cookies, googly eye glasses, monster eye candy, monster stickers and a toy monster in them. The googly eye glasses were a hit!
Haha - I got quite a few good laughs out of them!
Kids playing and having fun with their goodies.
Cake time!
This cake was HUGE! I loved it though. It was not what I pictured at all but much more cute than I pictured.
Blue mouth!
Chase got 2 different lego sets and loved them both. Finally some legos that are for his age!
Colista added to the birthday train. She said she'll stop after a certain age so he doesn't think she's a crazy Aunt that gets him the same thing every year. Haha - I love it though I think it's cute!
Deep in concentration. He wouldn't even tell Ness and Owie bye bye because he was so deep in to it.
Chase was too busy when we did cake to eat a piece. After everyone left and things got quiet he decided he wanted a piece of cake. What the birthday boy wanted the birthday boy got! This party was smooth sailing. Much more relaxing than any other I have thrown. Fun little party for our fun little boy! I would do monsters every year if he would let me...I had fun with it too!
