Our Life
The boys both needed some new summer jammies - so I got them matching ones. Aren't they cute?! Yes, I think so! As they hugged and giggled and rolled around our bed when we were trying to take their picture Josh and I looked at each other and said how lucky we are. They are perfect to us.
Biscuits
Every time we turn around lately this is what we see. Chase shines his biscuits to the world quite often anymore. Haha! "pee grass" he says. I'm proud that he's handling his business..and oh boy, his Daddy is too! There have been a few occasions (once right in the middle of Mom and Dad's garage and once he stood at the doorway to our garage and peed right into the garage...) but other than those he hasn't caused any harm. If anyone gets upset at this sight they're crazy. It's just too stinkin' cute! (and funny) : )
Sweetheart
Josh was taking a nap on the couch and Chase - 100% on his own - got his blankets and covered Daddy up. It was so sweet! I didn't even suggest he do it or anything..he just did it all on his own. I love that he is naturally such a sweetheart and so thoughtful. Proud Mama!

His First Bike
We got our boy his first bike. We picked out 2 at Walmart and let him choose which one he wanted. He chose the cheaper one so I was OK with his choice. Haha. It is a little smaller than the other one too so it's easier for him to pedal.
Our goal is for him to be riding it around by the end of summer. I know he'll get it because he is already getting the hang of it. He is a quick learner. His first of many bikes - let the memories begin!

Ced Turns 11
Cedric turned 11. Crazy stuff. We had a little family supper/party at Mom and Dad's to celebrate.
He is our closed mouth smiler. He had a pretty cool lego cake that Colista had Joanne make.
Milo tried watermelon and ice cream for the first time that night. He is figuring out this food business and loving it.
I still owe Ced a present...I haven't figured out my "plan" for birthdays yet this year. Last year I did the helium balloons with money in them. Hmmm...
Cedric is pretty fun right now. He will hang with the adults and with the kids. He has attitude but most 11 year olds do. He is hilarious and gets grossed out by things easily. Haha. He also is quite the little eater. He tries new things and enjoys it. I like that about him too. Curious eaters are fun to me. I enjoy his company. Happy 11th birthday Ced!

Baseball
I took the boys and went to one of Owen's baseball games with Mom. Tyson and Vanessa were over by the dugout and we were sitting over in some chairs. As soon as Chase spotted Ty and Ness he ran over and gave them big hugs. Owen was in the outfield but as soon as he came in Chase had a hug for him too.
He's playing coaches pitch this year. They have quite the little ball team. Kind of fun to watch them. I particularly enjoyed watching Owen run. His short little legs can move! : )
Chase sat up in the dugout the whole time. He seemed really interested and was super good. I think we may have a future baseball player on our hands.
Tristin had a game that same night at 8:00 but we didn't get to go to that one. Milo is usually ready for bed by 8:30 or 9:00 so we're going to have to try and catch an earlier game of his.

Flower Fun
The Wednesday after Mother's Day Mom and I (and my boys) went and did some flower shopping. She got a gift certificate to the one on Connable from Tyson and Vanessa so we went there first. Mom got all the flowers for her porch there.
Chase found every little puddle there was in the green house and stomped in them, of course! They were both happy little boys.
We went to Peter's next and got the rest of our flowers. Milo had his very first formula bottle ever while we were there. He did really good. 8 months old and first drop of anything but Mommy's milk - sad moment but was bound to happen soon because my freezer of milk has finally ran dry and I don't have extra to pump anymore.
We had a van FULL when we left there...and we even stopped at Grandma Jeans and picked up a few more before we got home. We saw her at the first stop and she said she had a bunch of extras left that she didn't want and we could have them. Score! She was so generous - and I got a good hug out of her too. : )
We went and picked up my pots at home and then went to Moms and unloaded everything into the garage. We spent all afternoon getting our pots all pretty and ready to display. I didn't get any pictures of us doing it though. : ( Chase was a handy helper and had to have gloves just like Momma and Meemaw. Milo was an angel baby as usual and was content watching us. It was a much needed Mommy/Daughter day. I think she loved it as much as I did.
The next day I was home alone with the boys so I set up a hang out for us outside and finished planting what flowers I had left in the ground out front. Chase was pretty proud of himself for figuring out a way to get inside the gate with the baby without Mommy's help. I tried to be "mad" at him but I couldn't when he had such a proud cute face.
I did petunias this year. I love them. They are bright and fun (and cheap)! Now hopefully the sun won't do a number on them.
These iris are blooming in my flower bed. They are the most awesome purple ever...and such a cool looking flower. I am thoroughly enjoying them currently.
I will soon post a picture of my new window boxes. Unfortunately when I opened up the 2nd box it was white instead of black..so I had to wait and plant that one until I could get a black one. Just waiting for a dry day when Josh is home to hang them up for me now. I think they're going to be cute.
I never thought I would enjoy my yard as much as I do. I get it from my Momma, I guess. It just makes a house look like a home too.

Well This Is Random
A few random pictures/moments to share...
I love it when I find my little men in the same room together actually playing and being good. Usually if they are in the same room Chase is picking on Milo...but occasionally I find this. : )
Chase has referred to Tyson as Ty Ty forever. I taught him that because that was what I wanted him to call him since that is what I used to call him when I was little. For the first time he actually said Tysons full name last week. While it was cute it was also sad because it sounded so grown up!
Chase likes to invade Josh's space when he's trying to sleep and Josh will NEVER move him. He just puts up with being uncomfortable so that Chase can be comfortable. Sweet things!
My boys : )
Sharing chips and salsa with Peepaw. Chase is a chips and salsa freak - he loves it.
Wresting with Owie Owie. Asher was being the judge. He would say who won and tell them when to start a new round. Chase didn't really understand that part but it was cute still.
We went for a walk and Owen got to feeling yucky so we came back to Mom's. Owen lost his cookies in the back yard before coming in the house. Dad was making popcorn (in the same old popcorn pot he's used FOREVER - that's part of a good memory I have). As soon as Owen came inside he dug right in and started eating popcorn. We think he just ate too much watermelon...because he seemed just fine right after.
Mr. brown eyes was pretty proud of his ice cream cone with sprinkles on it. It's the little things. : )

Cool Find
Mom and Dad were doing a little cleaning and looking through things up at Grandma's house and stumbled across this. These 2 little glasses were in this basket with a tag that's to Grandma Kelley from Amanda and Jacob. Pretty sweet that she kept it all together like that all that time. I am excited to have adopted them. Cool things!
I still think about Grandma every single day. I for the most part feel comforted and happy for her but I have sobbed a few times too. After Vanessa's shower was a hard one because Grandma really wasn't there..not in person anyways. It just felt like a piece of the puzzle was missing. After Mom brought this basket over a little while later I broke down too...just because I flat out miss her. It's hard....I love you Grandma!

Mother's Day 2013
We started out Mother's Day on the evening before with cooking out and having a nice supper at Mom and Dad's to spend some time with Mom.
We had a yummy little spread. I got Mom some awesome purple measuring cups and spoons. I'm a little jealous that they won't match my kitchen. Haha.
We got up and went to church on Sunday morning. When I climbed in the car I found a card...for me! Josh actually remembered to get me a card and that pretty much made my day. It was from the boys and was cute. : )
I wore a dress to church that I hadn't worn since my honeymoon. Wohoo!
We loaded up some breakfast makings and went to Dallas City to make breakfast and spend some time with Ruth. I made these little ham and egg cups. Super easy + super yummy = a keeper recipe for sure.
Bobbi joined us as well. The boys really like Bobbi. She enjoys them too because she doesn't have any grandkids of her own yet.
This is what this day is all about! I love these 2 more than anything in this world. They make every day exciting for me. I am blessed to have them in my life.
Chase was tuckered out on the way home. So much so that he fell asleep with his sucker stick still in his mouth. Haha! The sucker was all gone though, thank goodness.
George gave us some mushrooms while we were in Dallas so we fried them up for supper and had Mom and Dad come join us. There were too many to eat on our own. What a treat they are once a year - and I got them on Mother's Day. Yum yum!
We ate out on the deck even though it turned out to be really chilly, darn it.
Haha - I had to be goofy after Josh's 100th attempt to take a picture. He gets annoyed by me asking him to photograph things so much.

We ended our evening with a short little walk. We got jammies on everyone and enjoyed a little stroll in the fresh air. Perfect way to end the day. Nothing extravagant..just time with my boys, our Mom's, ...and food, of course! Perfect! Happy Mother's Day 2013!
