Pretty Drive Home

Josh and I went to mass in Dallas City and had supper with his family afterwards.  We found out Josh's brother, Chad, and his wife, Misty, are having a baby!  They are due December 27th.  There was an awesome sunset on the drive home.  We couldn't get to it fast enough...it was prettier before the sun got so low.  Still beautiful!

Ear Infections

Chase and I have been full of the same sickness.  We have both had yucky sinus and he has had a bad cough.  He started tugging at his ear a lot so I took him to the doctor, and sure enough - he has an ear infection!  He has handled it very well though, not too crabby.  We took a 2 1/2 hour nap together on Friday afternoon because we were both feeling bad.  It was beautiful out but what we needed at that point was sleep.  When we woke up my ear was just throbbing.  I decided to go ahead and go to outpatient and get an antibiotic myself.  Turns out I have an ear infection too!  I haven't had one in years but I guess Chase wanted an ear ache pal.  Anyways, we're both on prescriptions and getting better.  Today was MUCH better than yesterday for both of us!

Cuties

I finally caught a picture of Chase holding his hands ever so sweetly like he does : )...Awww!
These 2 are going to be best friends!  (I hope)  Eden was wearing a dress that Jeremy and Colista had bought when they were pregnant with Tristan before they found out he was a boy.  Little did they know they would have 4 more boys after that before they'd finally ever get to put that dress to use.  Haha!

Cooking In Bulk

Colista got hired to do a catering job on Thursday.  She was to prepare food and drinks for 120 people.  Wednesday afternoon I didn't have much going on so I offered to go help her out.  I went through Dallas City on my way to Carthage and left Chase with Josh's Mom so that way I would be more helpful.  I spent 6 hours there, worked the entire time, and she was STILL up all night finishing up!  She said it was a great turn out and everything was well worth it though.  She is hoping to get more jobs.  Her and I both enjoy cooking so it'd be great!

Josh picked up Chase and we all got home about the same time.  I was sort of tired and yucky feeling, but was completely cured when I saw him.  He was truly excited to see me!  : )  It was amazing.  He literally hugged and kissed on me for 5 minutes straight.  Best feeling ever!!  I love my little man!

Copy Cat

Chase is a copy cat!  Josh makes this certain noise with his mouth...and Chase does it too!  Last night Josh made it and then right afterward Chase did it.  At first we thought it must have been a coincidence, but it wasn't!  He did it over and over again.  Silly boy!

Monday

Owen didn't have school on Monday, so he asked if I would keep him part of the day.  I picked him up around noon.  Amanda came over to have lunch together and hang out a while.  We made colored rice krispy eggs and they played with flarp.  After Amanda left we read some stories and Owen was tuckered out!

Happy Easter!

We were up bright and early Easter morning.  Chase had some chew toys, a book, a stuffed ducky, and some baby magic in his bucket.  Josh read him his new book - The Velveteen Rabbit.

We went to mass at 8:00.  It was a great way to start the day!

We had brunch at Mom and Dad's with the Kelley side of the family.  There was a TON of food - it was all delcious!

The babies took a nap while the we did an egg hunt with the other kids.  They all cooperated for a photo - amazing!

Chase and Eden kept looking at each other and then you could see their eyes move up to look at each others ears.  Haha!  It was too cute!

We had dinner at Josh's parents house.  Chase got a new walk/rider toy from them.

Cammie got a princess dress up kit.  She was going around dressing everyone up.
It was a very tiring day, but a good one!  God, family and food - what more can you ask for?!

Chase's Easter Bucket

I wanted to do something special for Chase's Easter basket - and I came up with the idea of a pail.  We went to Hobby Lobby and bought all the supplies, I put on my creativity hat and went with it.  It says his name across the front and we put his footprints on the back.  I had the same Easter basket all throughout my childhood and I wanted Chase to have the same one too.  We thought a bucket would hold up better than anything!  Originally we tried to put his hand prints instead of footprints but Chase wasn't having anything to do with that!  The footprints turned out pretty cute anyways.  I'm very pleased with how it turned out!  : )

Meeting A New Addition

On Saturday we stuck around home and were just doing things around the house - so I didn't get myself all dolled up or anything.  Matt and his girlfriend Lacey stopped by to see us for a bit.  While they were here Kayne called and told Matt that they were at his Dad's house if he wanted to come meet his new little guy.  SOO...(even though I looked like total crap) I invited myself and tagged along.  Kayden is SO cute!  He was teeny tiny.  Chase looked so huge compared to him!  It's crazy that we are all having kids now!  Everyone told Josh he was a glowing Dad right after Chase was born, and so was Kayne.  He is a very proud Daddy!  So much fun meeting each others babies.  : )

Hair

I'm pretty sure I waited the longest I have EVER waited to get a hair cut.  My ends were all fuzzy and gross.  I just kept putting it off.  Today I finally got it done.  I went out to Kayla's...and she did a FANTASTIC job!..and to top it off I got to see little Maci.  She's a short chunky little sweetie. Anyways...my hair feels great!  I love me a haircut.  I feel like a whole new woman.  : )

Mom's Birthday

Liam lost his first tooth and was SUPER proud!  He was going around showing everyone.  : )
Baby feeding station!  Mom has both high chairs back in the kitchen now and ready for use.  The babies are definitely growing!  Eden gets on all fours - it won't be long and she will be MOVIN'!

Mom turned 53 on Monday.  The family all came over for supper at her house to celebrate.  Colista, Vanessa and I whipped up a delicious meal.  We had tacos, fajitas, corn casserole, chips and salsa, guacamole, rice, beans, and Mexican cheesecake.
