Grandma's New House

Ruth and Taylor got a new house and are now living in Niota.  We took the boys to scope out the new place last week.  Milo made himself right at home.  This cat tolerates him so well.  Haha.  Chase didn't adjust as well.  She wasn't entirely unpacked when we were there so we are looking forward to going back again when she is more settled in.  Josh and I are both actually pretty excited about her living in Niota.  It's closer for us and more convenient if we were to need or want to stop by on our way to town.  They aren't planning on this being a permanent home for them but it is a cute little one for now.

Coolest Kid Ever

Who has the coolest kid ever??  I DO!!  : )  Chase was playing with legos and came up to me to show me what he had made.  Normally his creations are cute and awesome ..but this creation was straight up AMAZING!  I got so giddy over it!  I still do.  How cool is that?!  I mean really.  He thought it up and put it together all by himself.  SO creative!  He was cooking a hot dog just like he did at the bonfire.  Oh..and the proud little smile he had on his face too...just too much cuteness!  We had to keep it put together until Daddy got home so he could show him too.  I love this AWESOME boy!!

Love

A lot lately I have had little loves fighting over my lap whenever I am at Grandma's house.  I was holding Vivi, and Harley and Milo kept trying to get in my arms too.  : )  This Auntie LOVES them all!!

My 3 Amigo's

Harley's babysitter was on vacation for a week - so Aunt Trisha got to watch him when his Daddy wasn't home.  He was excited to see me when I picked him up.  He ran to me and put his arms up.  Harley loves me, and I love him!

This popper toy is Harley's favorite to play with when he is here.  He loves it!  He may have some short little legs but those legs MOVE!  He looks so cute when he tries to run.  : )
They all climbed up there and I grabbed the camera and they actually all just smiled without me even trying to get them too.  Amazing!  These 3 amigo's kept me busy that week!  Love them all!

Zane's Birthday

Chase and Zane share a birthday.  This year Ryan and Alisha were having a bonfire sleepover for him the night after we had Chase's party.  We went over for the bonfire part of the party.
We decided to leave Milo at Grandma's because we weren't sure how he'd do around the fire.  This was Chase's first real bonfire that we could remember.  He did a GREAT job roasting the hot dogs.  ; )
There were lots of boys Zanes age running around..and Chase being our shy little guy was glued to our hips for quite a while.  I enjoyed it though : )
Chase would get the end of a stick on fire and he kept saying over and over and over again "mine's on burn fire!".  Haha.  He seriously did this off and on for hours.  Too cute!  He was loving it!
I didn't get a picture of it, but we got Zane a big nerf gun.  When he opened it up he was all excited and one of his friends asked who got him that?!  Sweet little Chase piped right up and said "I DID!"  : )  Josh and I were standing back observing and it gave us both a huge smile!

They had glow sticks and flashlights for all the kids.  It was the perfect night for a bonfire.  Not too cold and not too warm.  We were glad we went.  It was relaxing for us and a fun little experience for Bub.  Happy birthday Zane!

Batman Party

Chase has been talking about his Batman party for MONTHS.  He went through lots of birthday parties in the family before it was finally his turn.  He talked about it nonstop the whole week.  He'd go through a list of who was going to come, and ask me what we were going to eat at his party and all kinds of questions.  It was fun to see him get so excited.  He took a good nap and when he woke up Josh and I had the house ready for a Batman party.  The birthday boy approved!  ; )
I have been buying their cakes and cupcakes from Joanne Gallagher because I like the convenience of it and she is good at it..but she was out of town, so I had to make the cupcakes myself.  Yes, I know I CAN do it too...yes, they tasted great..yes, it was much cheaper...but no, I did not enjoy doing them!  They just take too much time and energy when you are trying to throw everything else together too.  BUT...I was satisfied with them.  Cute, I think.
Chase and I spent an afternoon earlier in the week making Batman masks for the party.  Fun!

Had to show Grandma his mask.  : )
We actually got 2 good family shots right in a row.  I couldn't believe it!
Our first guests arrived and Chase had to show Owen how old he was.  : )

I made pulled pork, bakes beans, and mac and cheese.  We bought coleslaw from KFC and Mom brought grape salad.  Super yummy supper!
Present time!
Harley wasn't so sure about the mask..
Bub was so funny to watch open his presents.  His reactions to everything were too cute.
You could tell he was truly excited and thankful for all of his gifts.  One loved boy!
He blew out the candles but was too busy to eat a cupcake.  He wanted to play.
Milo dug in though.  I think he wore as much of it as he ate!
Oh, Josh...
Tyson and his boys stayed late after the party.  Josh set up the new race track that Grandma Kelley got for Chase and they made a ramp and played.  Owen was into it as much as Chasey was.
Chase begged to play with his legos while everyone was here but we put him off so that he wouldn't lose any pieces.  After everyone was gone Josh helped him finally put them together.  : )
Right before bed he decided he was ready for a cupcake.  Haha.  On a normal day I would NEVER let him have a cupcake right before bed...but we told him it was the last of the birthday spoiling - so he got one.

I have to admit when Chase first mentioned wanting to have a Batman party I was not thrilled in the least.  I couldn't figure out how I was going to make that cute or fun at all.  BUT ...it ended up being one of the easiest parties I've done and I ended up thinking it turned out really cute and really fun.  I am expanding my interests with these BOYS in house..that is for sure!

Happy BATMAN Birthday Bubba!!!

Pumpkin Patch

Our trip to the pumpkin patch is one of my favorite things to do each year.  We stopped at Appleberry Orchards this year to check it out.  It turned out that everything we wanted to do there (barrel train ride and feeding the goats) they only do on the weekends.  We were pretty bummed about that..but we walked around and checked things out anyways.  Milo was all about the animals.
No fear - at all!
At one point he ran up and the horse bent down and Milo gave the damn thing a kiss!  Gross!  But just shows how fearless he is.  Chase is the polar opposite.  He wouldn't even touch anything.  He only observed them from a distance.

They have a little bakery and store there.  We bought some cookies for the boys and a few homemade apple cider donuts to try.  The smell in that place was so fantastic.  I'll go back again just to stop in and buy some goodies if nothing else.
For our play time we went ahead and went to Harvestville farm where we usually end up because of their awesome play area for the kids.

We took a wagon ride out to the pick your own pumpkin patch.

The boys picked some nice big pumpkins to take home with us.
There were some ducks floating on their pond when the wagon went past it.  Chase got excited about that.
These boys kept climbing up on these and jumping off into our arms.  I think they would have done it all day if Josh and I's arms wouldn't have gotten worn out!

: )  The corn was a big hit, as usual!
In the middle of his playing Chase found a flower and came running to me with it.  He loves giving me flowers - and I love receiving his flowers!  Win, Win!

Belly laughs!  There were a few field trips there when we first were trying to play so it was hectic and not so cool for a while.  But they left shortly and we had the whole place pretty much to ourselves..so it ended up being a great time.

We wore them out!  So fun!  We were headed for home to get ready for Bubs birthday party. Wohoo!
