IT'S A GIRL! (They Think...)

Jeremy and Colista decided to be spontaneous and take a last minute trip to Peoria to have a 3D ultrasound done to find out if they are having a little lady or a little man.  They needed help picking up Cullen and Asher from school so I got them.  Asher was SO excited that I picked them up.  We decided since it was pretty nice out to go for a walk.  Asher rode his bike and Chase and Cullen ran hand in hand almost the whole time.
They're pretty good little buds these days.  I love it!  Cullen is quite a fun little guy right now.  He says the sweetest things.  You can tell he is learning a lot at preschool too.  Every speed limit sign he said what number it was and every stop sign he said what it was.  I had fun just listening to him talk.  : )

So we had some after school fun and got some fun news too.  They were almost certain (couldn't be 100% sure because she is still early on) ...but they are pretty sure that it's a baby GIRL!!  Yep, that's pretty exciting stuff for us Kelley's/Boyer's.  Girls are few and far between!

Tumbler

Milo being a sweetheart with some stuffed animals.  I love that he loves them.  Chase never really got in to them much.
Just playing and being cute.  He is finally starting to get to do this some now that Chase will actually leave him alone occasionally.  He likes to put things inside of other things.  I have been enjoying getting to watch him play.
Doesn't get any more precious than that!  : )
FAT lip!  Holy cow!  It was one of the worst I had ever seen.  Quite pitiful but didn't seem to bother him a bit.  Trooper!
Dumped out his hamper so he could put some balls inside of it and drag it around.  That face is like "don't be mad Mom aren't I cute?".  Yes, yes Milo you are.  ; )
We're definitely being a "toddler" now.  These marks are because he took a spill off the ladder to the swing set.  This boy is a CLIMBER (and a faller) these days!  On the last few days of October he decided to start climbing on anything and everything and he is only getting more brave as the days go on.  This one broke my heart.  His poor little face.  He loves to climb on top of the table too.  You can't leave any chair pulled out or he is on top of it immediately.  He is SUPER busy right now!  Lets just hope and pray he doesn't break any bones with any of his tumbles.  I don't think I could go through that again...
BINKIES!!!  Oh no...I was tempted to take his binky away about a month ago and then I just put it off and put it off (it's a commitment thing I guess I just wasn't ready for or something)..anyways - I should have done it when I thought about it because now he is the binky king all of a sudden.  He prefers to have one in his mouth and a couple in his hands.  Oh well..at least he's adorable!  We'll get it away eventually it just won't be as easy.  He's been the worlds easiest baby though so he may surprise me...and even if he doesn't, if he gives me one run for my money he is still an easy peasy boy all in all.
We bought a lego tote to put Chase's duplos in.  It has wheels on it.  Milo loves to push it around and then park wherever he feels and CLIMB on top of it and plop down.  Cutie patootie!
Look at my squishy lips - aren't they awesome?!

A few other fun Milo things as of recently...

He is talking SO much already!  It's crazy!  My favorite is he'll point and most anything and say "whassat?" (what's that)  He also is saying "nana" for banana.  Chase likes to roar like a dinosaur and he will copy him doing that all the time too.  He is a copy cat these days for sure.

If you tell Milo to do a butt drop he will almost always do it on demand.  HILARIOUS!  He doesn't care if it is just floor under him he goes to town and does one after another.  It's pretty cute and funny! Owen gets a big kick out of watching him do them too.  He almost always gets him to start doing it.  I thought it was pretty funny too until he did it while he was in the bath and completely SOAKED me!  Haha.  Funny now...frustrating at the time.

I have a genius child!  If he is hungry or thirsty he will fun to the kitchen and tug on the handles of the fridge.  He KNOWS that if he feels that way he needs to go there to fix that "problem".  How smart is that?!  Hungry/thirty = eat/drink.  So proud of my little problem solver!

He listens and responds so well.  If I tell him we're going to go take a bath he takes off for the bathroom.  If I tell him we're going to go bye bye he starts waving.  If I ask if he wants a banana he goes to the kitchen and stands right next to where I keep them.  It's amazing to me how much they learn in such a short amount of time.  ..and even though he can't speak everything he knows what I am saying to him and gets his message across too in one way or another.  Simply awesome!  Milo seems to be doing it all extremely quickly too.  Now if only he would listen so well when I tell him to stay out of the trash can and toilet we'd be set!  Haha.

That's the latest in Milo world!  Sounds like a pretty fun place to be right?!  : )

Brotherly Love

They are starting to show some love.  This wasn't posed or anything.  Chase was actually sitting with his arm around Milo and Milo was holding his hand.  Simply precious!!
I love them so much!

First Snow

We have already had our first snow of the season.  The boys were pretty excited about it.
Chase grabbed a handful to show baby what it was.

I went out on the deck barefoot and hopped around acting like it was really cold (like it was) and they thought I was hilarious!  : )
We gathered some snow to make some snow ice cream.  I hope this becomes a little tradition with my kids.  I hope that when it starts to snow heavy they start asking about making ice cream.  It's simple, fun and yummy.  Can't go wrong!
Chase got to help make it and we all sampled.  It was pretty tasty.  Ruth and Taylor had never had it before so it was fun to show them too since they were over that evening for supper.  Happy winter!

Winterizing

Well..we accepted that winter was coming and we'd better get ready for it.  So we cleared out the garage a bit and took the mower over to Dad's shed to make some room for other things in our garage.  (someday we'll have a bigger garage/shed so we can keep all our stuff at home but for now we make due with what we have)  We should've probably mowed one more time..but that wouldn't be our "style" to actually go into the winter with a nice trim yard.  Haha - we are always slackers!  Chase got to help drive the mower.  He was beyond thrilled!

All was good and fine and I was feeling pretty productive until....I was sweeping the garage floor and saw something on the back of my step that I couldn't get with the broom.  So...Josh pulled the step away from the wall and found this.  OH MY GOODNESS ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!  Is that disgusting or what?!  We had a mouse (probably more but Im telling myself it was one and only one) and it had built itself a full blown mattress inside our step.  EWW EWW EWW!  Yuck!  Totally gave me the creeps and is still hard for me to go out there...because we have yet to catch the sneaky little pest in a trap.  Thank God it was just confined to the garage..but still.  I don't like it.  Nope nope nope.  So NOT ok with me!  Hopefully soon we'll catch something and I'll feel better...as long as I don't see it or have to deal with it.  Then I wouldn't feel better..I'd feel gross.  Some probably think I'm ridiculous but I really think mice are gross.  Fingers crossed this is the last time we have this happen!

Surprise!

I got a text message of this picture while I was over at Moms and immediately was saying "NO WAY!".  Josh was at work so I had to call him and make sure he got it too.  I was SOOOO giddy!  Ryan and Alisha have said they were done for a long time..and they thought they were, but got a SURPRISE!  I couldn't be more excited.  Little Emilee will be an AWESOME big sissy!

We had them over for supper a few days later so we could get the whole story and celebrate with them.  The kids sat at the "kids table" and us adults sat in the kitchen and chit chatted.  They said they were shocked but are excited now.  For me personally I think it is awesome that they're going to have another little one so our kids aren't all too far apart in ages.  So fun!  They're hoping for a girl but we shall see.  : )  She is due in June.  Congrats to Ryan and Alisha!

Two Peas

Owen and Harley spent an evening with us.  Harley fell asleep and we put Milo to bed so we got Chase's sleeping bag out for him and Owen to lay down and watch a movie to stay quiet.  I didn't make them pose like this..that is just how they were both laying watching a movie.  Cuties!  They are buds.

Kid Clutter

On the rare occasions that I let myself lay down for a minute it can't ever be done without the kids "cluttering" me.  Always have someone climbing on me or sitting by me or begging for me to pick them up.  I love it and will thoroughly miss it one day!

Keepin' Busy

Gobble gobble!  We made hand print turkeys one day while Milo was napping and we were bored.  Chase loves any simple little project...and I find he behaves better if I stimulate his brain some during the day too.  He had to show it off to Daddy when he got home and to Grandma when she came by.  He was pretty proud of his turkeys.  I wish I did this king of thing with him more than I do..

Leaves

One of the last few decent temperature days we went for a walk during the day.  We were walking by Mom and Dads house and were just going to keep going since no one was home.  Chase got really upset and started crying because he wanted to stop there.
So...we went in the back yard and played in their leaves for a few minutes to please him.  Chase had to help rake them, of course.  We need to get him his very own rake for our house too...

Milo was still a little unsure of the leaves...
But Chase was all in!  Simple free fun.  Doesn't get any better!

Trick or Treat

I was actually organized for trick or treat year and had their costumes bought early so I wasn't freaking out at the last minute like I was last year.  Milo was an adorable pumpkin and Chase was a dinosaur (his choice).

We had saved one last day for Josh to take off for trick or treat.  He had planned to layoff but lost track of time and his phone ended up ringing before he had a chance to.  Once his phone rings he has to go.  No way around it.  We were both really upset.  At first I didn't even want to do it at all...not if he wasn't going to be there for it.  I didn't want to experience it without him.  I got over it and he told me he wanted me to do it for them...so I did, of course.  After naps we got all dressed up and ready.
Checking each other out...: )  Cuties!
Chase showing me his tail.  He loved his costume!

Before we left we jumped on skype and showed Daddy the costumes.  I could tell Josh was bummed he wasn't here but that was at least a way for him to see them and not completely miss out on it.
It was SUPER nasty outside.  Pouring down rain non stop.  We took soup and cookies over to Grandmas and just hung out there.  She had candy for the kids.

I hate that Josh isn't in these pictures...but Im glad I could be there at least.
All the kids were in and out of Grandma's throughout the night.  Grandma kept the little ones and the big ones braved the rain.  This is Cedric, Liam, Owen and Asher.
Chase and Cullen.
I decided to take Chase to a few houses to say he went trick or treating.  He was so good and held my hand the whole time.  He was super shy and wouldn't say anything at the doors.  After our 2nd house he stepped in a big puddle and said "Chasey shoes ucky".  Haha.  We went to 5 houses and then he said "Chasey go back Meemaw's Mom".  Simple to please!  He was satisfied.
Cutest dinosaur ever!
Loved my one on one walk around the block with my big boy!  It really was special to me.
Working on his sugar high...
Milo was Grandma's helper passing out candy...isn't he perfect?!
Harley got to hang out at Grandma's too.  Grandma has had a baby at her house during trick or treat for LOTS of years...and next year won't be any different!  She likes it that way.
He was touching Tyson's beard trying to figure it out.  I can tell they love each other.  : )

It ended up being a good evening.  I love that everyone is in and out of Moms on that evening.  These will be good memories for our kiddos.  Now...next year Daddy WILL be here for it!
